Privacy

Short version: this site does not ask you for anything, and there is no mailing list yet.

What this site collects

Nothing you type. There is no contact form, no signup field and no account on theacuteatlas.com. Every button either plays a video on YouTube or moves you around this site.

Like any website, the hosting provider records basic technical information when a page is served — IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested, and the time. That is standard server logging, it is used to keep the site running and secure, and it is not used to build a profile of you.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. The hosting platform may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies so pages load correctly. If that ever changes — if analytics or any non-essential cookie is added — this page gets updated first and you will be asked to consent before anything non-essential is set.

Fonts

Three typefaces (Sora, Inter and IBM Plex Mono) are loaded from Google Fonts. That means Google receives a request from your browser, including your IP address, in order to serve the font files. If you would rather that not happen, a browser extension that blocks third-party requests will stop it, and the site still works — it just falls back to your system fonts.

Links out to YouTube and TikTok

Lesson links open on YouTube, and there are links to TikTok. Once you are on those platforms you are covered by their privacy policies, not this one, and they will track you the way they normally do. Nothing on this site embeds a video player, so YouTube is not loaded until you actually click through.

Email

There is no mailing list. When there is one, it will be opt-in, it will say clearly what you are signing up for, every email will have a working one-click unsubscribe, and this page will be updated before a single address is collected.

If you email theacuteatlas@gmail.com directly, that message sits in a Gmail inbox and is used only to reply to you.

Children

This site is written for working nurses and nursing students. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

Your rights

Since no personal data is collected here, there is normally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed and want that correspondence deleted, ask and it will be. If you are in the EU or UK and want to make a data request under the GDPR, use the same address.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes — anything that starts collecting data that is not collected today — get called out on the page rather than slipped in.
